Center is situated in Sokeuk-dong,
on the eastern side of Kyong- bok Palace. Artsonje Center hopes to extend the culture belt presently formed by time-honored Insa-dong and emerging Sagan-dong. Artsonje Center will cover a broader range of art genres than Artsonje Museum, starting from earlier periods. Backing a variety of art activities, it will promote related performing arts like film, drama, dance, and music to shape itself into a distinctive venue. Artsonje Center plans to get away from the stereotyped orbit of many museums to serve as a phase-shifting space for multifarious arts activities and thus to meet the diverse needs of urbanites. |
